Amazing Young Women.....

I could include ALL of the young women who touch my life.... but this is dedicated to two special women who are Fromm's through and through....
Yesterday Nichole ( on the right here) took the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics in Madison. Check out her photos and blog here....
This sounds like something I would love to do...but I have no desire to head to Wisconsin in February.... but one never knows..... it might be a trip worth taking next year...... I'll have to think on that for awhile.
and her Sister, Sam, ( on the left dressed in gown ( minus cap)) when she recieved her MFA from Rutgers last spring.... well she tackled...ermmmm tried.... Hawaii surfing.... and doing what we all need to do one or two days a year. playing hookie... check out Hawaii through her eyes at her Blog: http://sfromm.blogspot.com/.
As I say in my profile, I am so incredibly proud of all of my nieces, granddaughters and young friends. I guess they may never understand the full impact of what they are doing until they hit 50...or more... as a young woman, my parents never said "you can't do that", or "women aren't supposed to", or even "are you sure?"...when I wanted things like flying to California at 14, or being on the drill team even when none of the uniforms were big enough for my ample size, or leaving for Arizona with no one or nothing but the promise of a place in class of 10. I now understand how proud they must have been even if they never took the time to say it. I think the way they supported me rubbed off on my brothers because all of them managed to influence their amazing daughters. (and their sons, too). It makes me even more proud to see these young women venture into new and exciting places where others might go...YOU DID WHAT?
So to Nichole and Samantha and all the young women .....YOU GO GIRL..... I love you and am so proud of what you do, when it is something special or even in your everyday lives.... you are amazing and beautiful and WOW.....
