I made it !

three weeks of..... well... simply put...hell.

Three weeks of day shift. For me that means rising at the unorthodox hour of 0445. Shower, dry, hair makeup all take longer at that hour of the day. Not to mention the commute. ughhhhhhhhh.

then, the over intelligent, somewhat disgruntled members of the department at work. There has been so much going on. Electronic charting system, this is now the third roll out ...of five or six I believe. Starts Monday with significant impact on what how we do what we do. Training 100 people is never easy, but my class... September 29....go live November 9. I barely remember what I was taught. The second of three major education projects for staff. This one I spoke at ( repeating myself 6 times) and then late last week got thrown the job of adding a lecture to this Fridays session. Fortunately it was something I know and enjoy teaching, but my explanation and opinions differ from the original instructor...so to be consistent I taught her version, and then added my twist on things. I must admit I saw a few more light bulbs go on when I finished my version...so maybe some people need to hear things two different ways.

The thing I hate... really... is being a hard ass. But, it got results. I simply explained...sternly.... that if you left without turning your paper work into me... your work was null and void. It did not exist. If you added slips to my mail box, they simply were going to find the circular file. Well it worked!! I have every ones paper work. and they in turn have their certificate of completion ! But in the past, slips were lost, by someone, repeats had to be carried out surreptitiously....

and 86% successful completion, and 93% went through the classes. Not bad....

and the best news.... I go back to nights unscathed!

YEAH....so for now, a martini with my name on it is chilling in the freezer !!!
