Christmas Lunch

Wow... what a great day! Third time this week that the man and I made it to the gym..... still just walking on the treadmill, but its coming along well. Lord knows it is good for me, in so many ways. The rhythmic thump thump of 3.0 miles per hour calms me. the muscles stretch and slight burn feels good somehow, and getting the heart beating is always a good thing. It still bewilders me that my resting heart rate is a mere 70bpm, and even climbing a flight of stairs when I placed my hand on the sensors it was a whopping 82 bpm.... moving it to the target of 122 takes most of the 30 minutes I walk. Actually my "fat burn target" is 112, that takes about 5 minutes and easily stays there with a slight incline at 3.0 mph.

Then I met my two best friends for a lunch.... just us three.... a new place for us, The Restaurant at Officers Row in old Ft Vancouver. So fun, a quiet quaint place, perfect for a girls lunch out....or a more serious romantic dinner sometime with the man. It is a perfect date restaurant....and reasonably priced. We were treated well, so I hope the waiter appreciated the generous tip.... as Lisa sez, "it's the holidays". a 100pm Friday lunch and we had the place to ourselves.

Tomorrow I disassemble Christmas.... and amazingly I am OK with it this year. I am ready to be done.

Funny how little things, a good workout, a great meal with the two best women in Portland can mean so much and make me so happy. Life is good.
