Another Death.

well... I am pretty certain. Phantom, our little sweet black kitty that moved into this house with us, in August of 1996 is gone. He came home Friday, and again Saturday...i tried to feed him bits of wet food and he just acted like he hated it. Then we sat in the chair and cuddled for over an hour. While his eyes looked clear, his mouth was dry and sticky. I fed him some drops of water which he nursed down. He looked a bit better. Then he scooted out the door with Christopher and was gone. I have not seen him since. Christopher has been coming around sporadically and leaving ...not his normal behavior. I believe he knows where Phantom is hiding, all the neighborhood cats that have decided my place is the best place to hang out ( soft cushions, outside cool water from the pond, and often food outside due to my work schedule) have been surprisingly absent as well. Maybe I am just putting my fears into this change of pattern...I hope he is fine.... I really do. He is the sweetest boy.

But.... the water is fixed ! YEAH !!! i apparently had a small ( and getting larger) leak in the PVC pipe that connected to the valve as the main water entered my house.... nice....at least with the next five days of 90 plus heat even the ground five feet under should dry. I I am so glad Teds friends continue to look out for me !! These guys do this for a living and the cost..... they want my old bedroom set.... I was going to do through the hassle of selling it on Craig's list.... this is soooooooo much easier and a win win win for me !!! soon the ENVOY will be back in the garage.

I do love this heat.... and it is easier to take because I can escape into the air conditioned house when the thermometer reached 93 in Troutdale yesterday.... but for those of you suffering with humidity....today it is feeling muggy at 30%. :).

so another month has passed...August is looking up...first the candle party...about ten fun ladies for an evening of laughs and drinks and food and shopping....and then the Domaine Serene event and the ASPEN !!!!!!!!!!!! eight days!!!!!!!!!!!!

from there...yeah lets not talk about Septemeber.,....arghhhhh.....so here's to my friends who keep me smiling, and my family that keeps me grounded and to the man that I love...CHEERS
