So...I am minding my own business, driving to work, top down, stereo.... a bit loud...this little Toyota pickup pulls up along side of me and asks... "how fast will it go"... I chuckle.... tell him I've had it to 110 ( its true....)....
he pulls up to the next stop light.... " and... is the owner single? " he asks.....
I chuckled again .,... "it's complicated" I reply....
"it always is" he says..."can I give you my number and when its not so complicated you can call and I'll take you to lunch"
I blushed....and kind of shook my head yes-no shrugged my shoulders.... really what do you say.... I've been widowed 3 months....I do not want to date.... but it was nice being noticed....
one last stop light before the on ramp.... he jumps out.... crushes a piece of paper into my hand and jumps back in the truck.... and off we go....
He follows me ( or he goes the same direction...really we are on I-84 it only goes one way with no off ramps....) into down town...he goes north on I-5, I go South.... he honks waves and signals....call me....
so now I have Timothy's number..... at least it made me feel good....
and no I didn't call, but I did keep the piece of paper.
