End of a season

Christmas or rather the Holidays are over for 2009. I managed my way through them.... with the help of family and friends. I never let them see me cry.... well not openly anyway!! Yet, every night as I lie alone in the beautiful chill of a wintry Aspen night, I missed him desperately. I cried openly into my pillow, occasionally to an understanding friend back "home in Oregon", but never forgetting.

Somehow..... because of Ted , I had the opportunity to experience Aspen in winter....something we would have never done together, yet, I know this sounds strange, but we did!! I even felt him hanging on and warning me to slow down while snowmobiling! HE shows up at the oddest times.

I had an amazing start to 2010. A Fun filled evening with the same family and friends entertained by the ever-energy filled T man!! Then for the first time in a long time, I had an uneventful flight home. No delay, an easy layover, and even understanding check in and TSA people!! My luggage was overweight.... LOL... what else is new???? But the rules have changed and the old $25.00 overweight fee has somehow turned into a United Airline fee of over $125.00....what the heck??? The check in clerk somehow let me carry on 10 pounds of books and cards..... who knew??? but it was all OK in the end. I should have had an extra piece of luggage to pack.... that will teach me !!

Then a great first weekend home. Fun times with a great friend.... a stupid Movie on TV and loads of laughs and smiles. not to mention Oreos and Cold milk..... now, its back to work, and plans begin for the Africa Trip.

Flights need to be arranged, packing lists to be made and I might have to break down and buy some new scrubs! I am too excited for words!!! 30 days !!! and Cheri might go with us.... how fun would that be?????

Life is moving forward. Angi goes back to surgery next week, Christmas decorations are stored away and I am ready to tackle the 6 New Years resolutions I have outlined..... more on that later.

For now, smiles, giggles, anticipation and adventure..... 2010..... a good year..... so far!!!
